Not in every case. Content creators may use our music in their videos free of charge, provided the track is credited in the video description.
A license or membership is required if you prefer not to credit the music, or if the track is used for business, advertising, games, apps, film or television.
No attribution is required, and your channel can be whitelisted so that copyright claims are not applied to your uploads. Individual videos can be whitelisted instead of an entire channel where preferred.
Every purchase issues a named PDF license agreement with a unique license number, which serves as proof of clearance for platforms, clients and broadcasters.
Include the following three lines in your video description, exactly as shown on the track page:

Artist: [artist name]

All three lines are required. Credit should be added before publishing where possible. If a claim has already been applied, adding the credit will still release it.
A copyright claim is not a strike and does not indicate misuse. It is an automated content match and is straightforward to resolve.
If you are using the music free of charge, add the three credit lines to your video description and the claim will be released.
If you hold a license or membership, provide us with your channel or the specific video and we will whitelist it. Claims will not be applied to subsequent uploads.

Company covers material published by or on behalf of a business, including online advertising.
Games and Apps covers use within a video game or mobile application.
Commercials covers television and radio advertising.
TV and Film covers television programs, films, series and streaming productions.

No. Licenses are one-time and permanent. Any content published under a license remains cleared indefinitely, on all platforms.
A membership covers all content published while the membership is active, across the entire catalogue. Material released during an active membership remains cleared permanently, including after cancellation. An active membership is required only for new releases.
